COMPOSITION

SLICK & SLIDE is a proprietary blend of non-polluting surfactants. It is non-flammable and biodegradable.

BASE FLUIDS

SLICK & SLIDE may be used in fresh water, seawater, and sodium and potassium chloride base muds.

APPLICATIONS

Control Bit Bailing: Soft shales have fewer tendencies to adhere to bits and drill collars when
SLICK & SLIDE is present in the drilling mud.

Torque and Drag Reduction: SLICK & SLIDE is recommended to improve the lubricity of drilling muds. It reduces friction
between the drill string and walls of the hole. Torque and drag common in crooked and directional holes can be minimized.

BENEFITS

SLICK & SLIDE eliminates hydrocarbon oil and associated pollution problems. It has little effect on rheological properties
of drilling muds, is non-fluorescent and aids in minimizing foaming problems in freshwater muds.

MIXING INSTRUCTIONS

SLICK & SLIDE can be added directly to the suction pit. It may be added as follows, depending on the situation:
Treatment of total mud system
Batch or slug treatments
Small continuous treatments

RECOMMENDED FIELD TREATMENTS

For excessive drag while drilling slug with 1-5 pails at pump suction followed by periodic hourly slugs as required.
For drag on trips slug with 2-4 pails prior to trip.
To control bit bailing while drilling use: (a) 2 pails per 100 barrels of mud system; (b) A small stream of SLICK & SLIDE
added continuously while drilling.
